Each ITU G.984 compliant GPON Platform Interface Module (PIMs) offers industry leading bandwidth of up to 2488 Mbps downstream and advanced QoS and dynamic bandwidth management.    The GPON PIM provides eight (8) GPON interfaces via Small Formfactor Pluggable (SFP) SC/UPC connectors.  The PIM also includes two (2) 10 Gigabit Ethernet XFP interfaces. Up to eight (8) GPON (PIMs) may be installed in a single TRIDENT7TM Universal Access Platform (T7) OLT. One GPON PIM can be hosted by the dense T7 OLT and by the compact, hardened T7 Compact OLT (COLT)
