A photodiode is a light sensor (photodetector) that converts an incoming optical signal into an electrical signal. Enablence designs and manufactures high-speed photodiode chips for access, metro and long-haul networks.
We offer single, arrays and packaged photodiodes covering analog and digital applications up to 40 Gb/s, as well as specialty photodiodes for a variety of applications including telecommunications and data communications.
Our specialty products include:
- Filtered photodiodes, which include a wavelength-selective filter that reflects unwanted signals before they reach the photodetector;
- Side-illuminated photodiodes, which simplify assembly by allowing light to enter the side of the photodiode rather than the top, eliminating the need for right-angle mounting of the photodiode;
- Hermetic photodiodes, which are sealed at the chip level, thereby eliminating the need for expensive hermetic packaging.
