Driving the Performance of the Agile Network

Enablence offers a range of wavelength management products based on its proprietary Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) platform that address the critical performance needs of agile optical networks.

These networks rely on multi-wavelength channel plans to compress increasingly higher data rates on existing fiber infrastructures over increasing number of channels that are situated closer than ever on the wavelength spectrum. Depending on the network specifications our modules can put through up to 96 channels on a fiber. Monitoring and managing these wavelengths is critical to the performance of metro and long haul communications systems to ensure Quality of Service.

Enablence’s wavelength management products include AWGs, Optical Channel Monitors, multiplexers/demultiplexers (VMUXs) and Tunable Filters, among others. Each of these components can support any underlying data rate from less than 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps. Our highly integrated modules using our PLC technologies not only incorporate up to 96 channels in a single package, but reduces footprint and reduces power consumption factors that are superior to virtually any other competitive offering available on the market today.
