Optical Network Terminals (ONT)
As a market leader in the Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) market, Enablence focuses on providing a versatile array of ONTs to cost-effectively deliver advanced services for numerous subscriber applications, including single-family unit (SFU), multi-dwelling unit (MDU), and commercial services.
IEEE 802.3 EFM (GE-PON and Point-to-Point) ONTs
Enablence’s extensive ONT portfolio includes models that comply with the IEEE 802.3 EFM standard. Basic models offer only a single 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet interface for IP-based services support. Triple-play ONTs offer the full spectrum of subscriber services, including telephony (POTS and IP), data (10/100/1000BASE-T), video (IP and RF), and a patented integrated RF return capability.
Enablence’s ONTs include the following advanced features beyond the IEEE 802.3 EFM standard:
- 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)
- Port-based rate control and shaping
- IEEE 802.1x port-based network access control for MAC-based authentication
- IEEE 801.2Q Virtual LANs
- IEEE 802.1p Traffic Class Expediting
- IETF RFC 2236 support for IGMPv2 Multicast Snooping
ITU G.984 GPON ONTs
Enablence also offers ONTs that comply with the ITU G.984 GPON standard. These ONTs also offer the full spectrum of data-only and triple-play subscriber services, including telephony (POTS and IP), data (10/100/1000BASE-T), video (IP and RF), and a patented integrated RF return capability.

The ONT E121 series, compliant with the IEEE 802.3 GE-PON (EFM PON) and Point-to-Point standards, are field-hardened for mounting outside the customer premises in temperatures ranging from -40° to +60° C. The ONT-E121 series provides one (1) 10/100BASE-T port and two (2) POTS ports, as well as the option for one (1) RF video port and the further option of Enablence’s patented integrated RF return.

The ONT-E1800i includes a market-leading eight (8) 10/100BASE T ports and one (1) 10/100/1000BASE T port, thereby providing the option of dedicated ports for IP video, VoIP services, or multiple computers without the need for a separate hub or router inside the residence.

The ONT G1000i, compliant with the ITU G.984 GPON standard, is designed to be mounted inside the customer premises. The ONT-G1000i provides up to 1 Gbps of throughput via a single 10/100/1000BASE T port for native support of VoIP and IP video, as well as high speed data services.
