Enablence’s Trident7 Compact Optical Line Terminal (T7 COLT) and ONT-G888 optical network terminal provide an ideal solution for network operators to service high density MDU complexes utilizing a state-of-the-art Gigabit Passive Optical Network.
Deployed with a G.984 GPON-compliant interface module, the T7 COLT provides up to eight PON ports. Utilizing a 1x32 split off of each PON port, the COLT connects up to 256 ONT-G888 optical network terminals.
Each ONT-G888 optical network terminal serves as many as 8 subscribers each with 100 Mbps of data service, POTS, RF and IP video, providing network operators and/or MDU management with a multitude of options to attract customers/tenants, provide next generation services and generate revenue.
The T7 COLT requires only two rack units (2 RU) of space and, since it is temperature-hardened, it may be deployed in non-climatically controlled cabinets. In a high rise deployment, the T7 COLT can be placed in the basement along with the ONTs, or the ONTs can be deployed on each floor.
