Depending on local regulatory requirements or client preferences, some of our customers require open access networks where the network infrastructure is operated as a stand-alone, independent business while other service provider(s) may provide services over this network. These networks are often called open access networks. To build such networks you need specialized solutions so that you can enable that seamless integration of various services providers’ service offerings on the same physical network. In some countries regulations even require companies to provide competitive offers to the same customers, which can only be achieved at this time by having direct fibers going to the customers from central office without splitting signals and fiber links in the field.
