Optimized for new or retrofitted remote terminals, the BAS is available in copper configurations as an IP-DLC (voice only), IP-DSLAM (ADSL2+), or IP-BLC (combination voice and ADSL2+) all with dual Gigabit Ethernet transport links and environmentally hardened with an impressive list of features. The BAS provides voice services via direct connection to a next-generation SoftSwitch via MGCP or SIP as well as providing GR-303 POTS services via our voice gateway platform for up to 48 subscribers configurable on a per port basis.

The BAS-150 employs an IETF standards based approach to circuit emulation over Ethernet using Pseudowire Emulation Edge to Edge (PWE3), including both SAToP (Structure Agnostic Transport over Packet) and CESoPSN (Circuit Emulation Service over Packet Switched Network) modes, ensuring multi-vendor interoperability. The reliable high bandwidth infrastructure provided by the BAS-150 enables applications such as cellular backhaul.
